Photographs of Nelson the seal in Looe, Cornwall

Nelson the one-eyed seal made his home in Looe for 20 years until he died in 2003. Nelson was loved by locals and visitors alike and the town now has a life size sculpture of Nelson on the Pennyland Rocks in Looe harbour. Created by Suzie Marsh, Nelson can be seen in Looe again by everyone who wanders down to Looe beach alongside the river. These pictures were taken on Wednesday 28th May when the sculpture of Nelson was unveiled by Sir Robin Knox-Johnston.
