Welcome to Looe in Cornwall, UK

Let me show you the hidden side of Looe

Chris Halls

Looe in Cornwall is a historic Cornish fishing town with an amazing sandy beach! As such it’s alive with places to stay, restaurants, cafés, shops, markets, olde worlde pubs and of course – Cornish atmosphere!

Images of Looe

Doesn’t time fly when you’re having fun or you’re completely stressed out and running around like a headless chicken?

iLoveLooe has been languishing in the ‘no wind in her sails’ doldrums for a while now so I’ve decided to create a new section for images, videos and other creative endeavours.

Follow along to see how I get on.

Sunrise from the Looe Banjo Pier

Early morning and late evening are usually the best times to photograph anything outdoors, especially when it comes to landscape genre images.

This image looks out over the Banjo Pier in Looe towards Rame Head.

The sun was just about to rise and I was pretty chilly but it was worth it. Such a beautiful morning and I had it all to myself. Wonderful.

Sunrise on Looe beach

This photo was made on the same morning as the one above, just a little later as the sun had risen bathing the beach and East Looe seafront in a warm golden glow.

Have you ever been down to the beach this time in the morning? It’s magical and I think the best time to enjoy the beach crowd-free and at one with the natural elements.
