Looe Festival by the Sea 2010

Looe festival of the seaLooe Festival by the Sea is on July 10th and 11th 2010.

Over this weekend there will be much to see, much to eat and much to listen to! Looe Festival by the Sea includes music and dancing, food and drink and of course fishing, boating and sailing.

There will be plenty of culture and traditions on show too, all set in lovely Looe with its sandy beaches and vibrant town.

Looe Festival by the Sea is a festival for all the senses, set over a summer weekend on July 10th and 11th.

Some of the best food shops, restaurants and hotels will be providing a wealth of food and drink to taste on both sides of the river. East and West Looe Quays will host tasting events over the two days.

There will be Cornish seafood, such as chowders, crabs and lobsters, Cornish cider and apple juice along with award winning Cornish ice cream with fabulous flavours such as clotted cream with rhubarb! There will be many delicious morsels to try out whilst enjoying all the events of the Looe Festival of the Sea in Cornwall.

Last year’s events included The Saint Piran Singers, local children dancing, RNLI sea safety displays, the Looe Pirates, Buccaneers and Wenches, river and sea trips, sea shanties, fishing trips, speedboat outings and helicopter rescue demonstrations to name but a few!
