Looe Food Festival StampLooe Festival of Food & Drink is on this weekend – 29th – 30th June 2013.

Doors open at 9.30am each day and entry is free.

There’s plenty of easy parking and Looe town centre and beach is only a short stroll away.

A much larger pavilion than last year will be put up in the same place in the Looe Millpool car park and will be packed with approx 40 growers, producers and suppliers from all over Cornwall plus a few from Devon.

As Looe is a seaside town and famed for its fresh fish and seafood, they will feature prominently this year, but never fear if you prefer vegetarian or other types of food… Looe Festival of Food & Drink 2013 will be packed with all manner of delicious products and drinks to suit all tastes.

Looe Food Festival LogoForty minute chef demonstrations in the custom built ‘Chefs Kitchen’, will take place throughout the festival with chefs (some from local restaurants) using local produce and, where possible, producer’s ingredients available at the show.

The demonstrations are always very popular with the public and we do our best to promote what’s local. All the dishes we do contain ingredients from the exhibitors, so making it easy for those watching to buy and try it for themselves.

Even more outside the food festival pavilion!

Last year was good but this year is going to be even better with a huge selection of delicious hot, ready-to-eat street food on sale throughout both festival days.

This year there will be delicious vegetarian dishes from Wild Futures, tasty Thai food from Ocean and Earth Restaurant in Looe and a traditional hog roast from the Cornish Pork Pantry.

Facilities and festival details

Ample parking is available in the Millpool car park where the festival is situated. It’s a beatiful spot, right next to the woods and Looe River.

Easy access, including disabled access, with excellent public transport links are readily available

Excellent public toilets are available a couple of minutes walk from the festival pavilion.

There is a children’s playground a couple of minutes walk from the pavilion and of course, there is Looe beach and all the facilities in Looe a short walk away.
