Looe Music Festival 2014

Looe Music FestivalLooe Music Festival have announced the headline bands for Friday, Saturday and Sunday this year – 2014.

Friday 19th September – The Brand New Heavies

Saturday 20th September – Squeeze

Sunday 21st September – Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls

The Looe Music Festival is my favourite event in the Looe calendar, partly because it transforms Looe into something new every year and partly because getting the chance to see and listen to so many bands and musicians on my doorstep is just plain awesome!

The festival has been gaining in momentum and size every year and 2013 was in a different league to any before it.

The pro sounds, huge stages, excellent planning, new layout and overall attention to detail was staggering which is why we are now attracting the likes of Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls who opened the British Olympics Ceremony in 2012 and packed the O2 stadium in 2013! That’s huge 🙂

Ticket advice

Take it from me, buying your tickets on the day isn’t as much fun as sitting on the beach, enjoying your favourite tipple or listening to some music in one of the many venues around town!

My advice is buy tickets for the festival way ahead of time… put your mind at rest and enjoy the event all the more for it.

Don’t forget accommodation too!

Hotels, B&Bs and Guest Houses, Self Catering and Campsites all fill up very quickly and many are already booked up for the whole weekend!

Check out all my listings above.

Squeeze exploded onto the music scene in 1979 with their second album ‘Cool For Cats’. They were one of Britain’s most important young bands of the time and responsible for a string of hits including ‘Up The Junction’ ‘Pulling Mussels and ‘Cool for Cats’.

Expect them to rock it out on Looe Beach in September… can’t wait.
