Video of Steam Train on the Looe Valley Line in 2010

Looe Steam TrainMy video of the Steam Train on the Looe Valley Line is finished, been uploaded to YouTube and added to ilovelooe.co.uk.

I’m not a train enthusiast nor do I get hot under the collar about large chunks of metal being propelled down a track belching steam and blowing whistles but I really did enjoy seeing the steam train on the Looe Train Line last September.

It was majestic, nostalgic and quite hypnotic watching the huge clouds of steam puffing their way out through the trees beside the river. Click the ‘Read More’ link below for more information and to watch the video of the Steam Train on the Looe Train Line.

If you haven’t read my earlier posts about the Steam Train event, here is a little background information.

Looe Train Line with Steam Train

The Looe Valley Line was 150 years old this year, 1860 – 2010, and hasn’t seen a steam train on its tracks for nearly 50 years!

The event was initially started by the Looe, Polperro and District Chamber of Trade and Commerce and then taken up by the Looe Valley Line in conjunction with First Great Western and Vintage Trains. It was a long shot but the Chamber pulled it off, much to the benefit of Looe and the businesses in Looe.
